Doha: Latest radar image shows rain of variable intensity thundery at times in most areas of the country, tweeted the Qatar Meteorology Department along with a picture of the rain over parts of country.
While most of Doha is heavily clouded with rains in various parts, heavy rains and thunder have been reported from Wukair.
In its daily weather report, the department said weather inshore until 6 pm on Friday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery and blowing dust at times, warning of expected thundery rain associated with strong wind.
Offshore, it warned of expected thundery rain associated with strong wind and high sea. the weather will be cloudy with chance of scattered rain, thundery at times.
Wind inshore will be mostly southeasterly to southwesterly 05 to 15 knots, gusting to 30 knots with thundery rain.
Offshore, it will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly ranging from 08 to 18 knots, gusting to 35 knots with thundery rain. Wind becomes southwesterly later
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometer or less at places at times.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rising to 5 feet with the thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 3 to 5 feet, rising to 10 feet with the thunder rain.
