Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, has been immortalised in the sands of UAE in the world’s largest portrait.
According to the video, the portrait, slated to enter Guinness, is more than 170,000 square feet in size and carved out of red sand. Beneath the portrait, etched into the sand, are the words, “prince of humanity”.
KhalifaSat took a photo of the giant portrait, making Shiekh Sabah the first person in the world who can be seen from outer space.
The portrait was etched in the red sands of Qudra desert in Dubai. It took nearly 2,400 hours to complete, made entirely out of natural sands, as per Al Bayan report.
Kuwait will celebrate its national day on Monday, February 25.
